Dr. Madhuri Lokapur formed ISSP, Pune branch in February 2014 with 14 members.
Later on ISSP instructed all city and state branches to obtain their own pan number to carry out activities. Accordingly Society for Study of Pain, Pune was formed and registered in 2017. Dr. Madhuri Lokapur was founder president and trustee. The first executive committee included. ( please put list of 7 original members)
We conducted International Conference in Recent Advances in Pain in 2017. Dr. Uttam Sidhaye was the organizing secretary. It was attended by more than 500 delegates from around the world. Dr. Sarita Swami and Dr. Varshali Keniya conducted cadaver and USG workshops which had record delegates. Dr. Manchikanti was felicitated by the first “Dr. P. Prithviraj Oration” in the conference.
SSPP grew by leaps and bounds there on, conducting many symposiums and workshops.
